This post is not about that. However, it is relevant.
As of right now I am on a gluten, soy, and corn free diet on top of my already plant-based diet. I promise there is a reason I’m sharing these things, stay with me.
Since 2012 I have been going hardcore with my at home workout programs and lifting weights at the gym. I had big goals, especially for 2016/2017.
My body had other plans.
For the past two years I’ve noticed a decline in my health. Long story short, it all came to a crashing halt around October of last year. Since then I’ve been in and out of doctors offices trying to sort it all out.
I’m not going to bore you with those details because I already discussed it in full in this video.
In October I started to notice that my body was feeling weak and worn down. It became increasingly obvious to me that programs like Insanity were no longer an option. To say I felt devastated by the change is an understatement, but the show must go on. I needed low impact. I needed simple. I needed healthy meals without the fuss. I needed to continue with a fitness regime that wouldn’t wreak havoc on my body. Enter: The Bombshell Body Guide by Lauryn Evarts of the Skinny Confidential!
I’m pretty obsessed with Lauryn. She’s super talented. Gorgeous. She offers a ton of value on her blog. Oh, and did I mention she’s authentic? Our favorite kind of person! Duh.
When Lauryn announced the launch of the Bombshell Body Guide I knew I had to have it! Lauryn is my go-to for all things health, beauty, fashion, and everything in between. In fact, many of the products that I feature on this blog I found through her.

Lauryn teamed up with celebrity trainer Jamie McFaden to create the plan. Jamie was named one of the 50 Hottest Trainers in America by Shape Magazine and has worked alongside Jillian Michaels for YEARS, so ya know, no big deal.
Here’s why I’m obsessed with the workout plan; there are 27 minute workouts, three days per week, that help to tone your body fast!
Each workout is intentionally created so it can be done anywhere with very little equipment; your home, the gym, hotel rooms … You are able to modify each exercise so it works for you, no matter your fitness level or ability.
I’m constantly on the go. I spend more time in town than I do my own home so I’m always looking for quick and efficient. Lauryn demonstrates each move via picture so there’s no confusion as to whether you are doing it correctly. Each workout begins with a warm up and ends with a cool down so that you are safely getting your body through each one. Super important!
The Meal Plan
Honestly, I would subscribe to the Bombshell Body Guide just for the meal plan. It’s genius. Simple simple simple, just the way I like it! As much as I’d love to whip up a gourmet dish for every meal, that’s just not realistic. Nobody has time for that. The nutrition portion of the plan will provide you with recipes that don’t require a ton of time, money, or ingredients.
It’s worth noting that Lauryn also shares her favorite boozy tips and cocktails. Her blog represents balance so she encourages you to have fun but to be smart about it, drinking cocktails that won’t demolish your progress!
Recently Lauryn also added a “Bye, Bloat” meal plan as well as a “Shredding for the Wedding” meal plan. Basically she has your back for all stages of life.
Not only has Lauryn created a badass fitness and meal plan, she’s also created a community where you can interact with other women doing the guide.
The portal allows you to share your goals, progress, and results with people who just get it. You can ask questions, share opinions, and swap tips, tricks, and recipes with other members of the community.
