Alright, alright, alright (spoken in my best Matthew McConaughey voice.)
I’ve got the good good for you toDAY!
Okay Tara, chill. Speak (write rather?) like a normal, mature 27 year old adult.
. . .
No, but seriously. You have been asking and about 256 million days later, I am delivering.
I’m finally revealing part of my “minimalist home.”
I think most people are genuinely curious about how I maintain a minimal home with two children and a husband. Fair question.
So why haven’t I shared sooner?
Honestly, it’s just not something I am terribly comfortable with. Interior decorating does not come naturally to me. I see photos online and I think YESS, give me that room. I even see visions in my head. But the second I try to apply those ideas, it just doesn’t reach the potential I envision.
Although, funny side note. I always say that if I went back to school I would want to go to study interior decorating. Funny, eh?
Mostly it’s a little thing we like to call → perfection.
I have a very real issue with perfectionism. That’s for another blog, another time.
In my dream world I would hire someone who has an eye for design and have them do up every room in my home and call it a day. Unfortunately I don’t live in a dream world. I live in the real world. And in the real world, this will have to do.
So, here we go.
My minimalist, bachelor-esque inspired room tour.
Heads up, if you are looking for the typical bright, airy, white, and bright minimalist bedroom, this is not that. When people go one way, I tend to go the other. Keeps it fun, ya know?
