You. Guys. I am about to seriously rock your world.
Okay, that might be a bit dramatic . . . or not.
Have you ever stopped to think about the impact you are having on the planet? On other people? On the animals of the world?
It’s partially why I decided to switch to a vegan lifestyle. It is also one of many reasons I am so passionate about being a minimalist.
I’m not naive in thinking I can change the world on my own. I also know that every single choice I make has a chain reaction, and sometimes that reaction isn’t favorable. Actions create reactions. So am I perfect? No. But I do my best and I use this platform to inspire people to simplify their lives to benefit not only themselves, but others, the planet, and the animals.
When I came across Yazahi and saw what they were doing, I knew I had to join forces with them. I reached out, told them I’d be honored to join them on their mission, and here we are.
Yazahi is an apparel brand that has a mission to help improve the lives of people and animals all over the world. If you go to their website their collections are organized as “save our planet,” “save our animals,” and “save our ocean.” Basically, they are making a difference on all fronts!
Yazahi’s products are ethically sourced, fair trade, vegan friendly, and print to order as to reduce waste. All of the shirts are printed in the USA by people who are well paid and part of the proceeds of each item purchased goes to a non-profit organization that helps support the related cause.
I will be perfectly honest with you; when I heard of a company that does such much good in the world, I worried that the purpose would be stronger than the product. Meaning, while I respect and admire the work being done, I was curious if the quality would be lacking.
I am happy to tell you this couldn’t be further from the truth. The shirt and the bags that you are seeing in this post followed us all around Nicaragua, through all of our adventures. All of my most valuable assets were stored in the travel backpack as we walked through the airports and the streets of Leon.
At one point I was photographing the backpack on the beach and a wave tried to carry the bag out to sea. I quickly grabbed it up and everything inside the bag was perfectly protected and dry (including $100s of dollars worth of photography gear!)
Bottom line, when I announced I would be switching to a vegan lifestyle, it wasn’t just for my health. It was in that moment I decided to live in a way that would have as little impact on our environment and inhabitants as possible!
I am thrilled to be working alongside an incredible brand whose mission aligns so perfectly with my own.
Yazahi was kind enough to offer a coupon code for a discount when shopping their site. Use the code ” Tara Creel ” at checkout for 10% off your order.
With that I’m off to pack because . . . you guessed it; we’re off to a new adventure! Avon, Colorado! Have you been? Tell me all about it!
Hope you have a great week!
